Zula F. Micallef of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Jacob and Minnie (West) Ware on July 4, 1924 in Delhi, Missouri and left from this life on Monday, March 23, 2009 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 84. Zula was united in marriage to Robert Micallef on November 23, 1963 in Bourbon, Missouri. Zula was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and taking care of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Minnie (West) Ware; first husband James E. Honea, Jr.; son Jimmie Honea; four sisters Martha Hopwood, Katherine and Lorene Ware, Mabel Williams; three brothers Estel "Bud", Herman and George Ware and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her husband Robert Micallef; one son David and wife Janice Honea; one daughter Debra and husband Jim Gilliam all of Cuba, Missouri; daughter-in-law Joyce Honea of Lakeland, Florida; one brother Chester and wife Margaret Ware of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters Viva Fann of Bourbon, Missouri, Maxine Branson of Park Hills Missouri, Bonnie Ware of Cuba, Missouri; eight grandchildren Angela Harmann, Paul, Jeff and Todd Honea, Nichole Acevedo, Jaclyn, James III and Jilliann Gilliam; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation: Friday, March 27, 2009 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Saturday, March 28, 2009 2:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Chaplain Michael Hardwick, officiating. Interment: Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
