William F. "Bill" Moeckli

William F. “Bill” Moeckli of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, April 1, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Herbert A. and Juanita S. (Wood) Moeckli. He left from this life with his daughters by his side on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Cottages of Lake St. Louis at the age of 70.

Bill was united in marriage to Karen Cooper in August of 1974. To this union two daughters were born Alyce and Leslye.

Bill was a graduate of Ritenour High School “Class of 1970” and earned his Business Administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 1978. He spent his career with McDonnell Douglas/Boeing and retired in 1996, after forty years of dedicated service as a Systems Engineer. Bill loved painting, traveling, music and was a gun and knife hobbiest.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Herbert A. and Juanita S. (Wood) Moeckli; sister-in-law Paula Moeckli.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his two daughters Alyce (Brad) Greene of St. Charles and Leslye (Damien) Pisciotta of O’Fallon; four grandchildren Lillian and Emma Greene, Nicholas and Megan Pisciotta; two brothers Martin Moeckli of Edwardsville, Illinois and Richard Moeckli of St. Ann; former wife Karen (Cooper) Wedemeier of Branson; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Holman officiating. Interment will follow at Swiss Evangelical Reformed Cemetery, Swiss, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
