William "Bill" F. Knepper of Cuba, Missouri was born July 19, 1962 at East St. Louis, Illinois and left from this life on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 49 years. Bill proudly served in the United States Army from June 1981 till September 1992 and then served in the Missouri National Guard until 2003. He retired after 22 years of dedicated service to his country. Bill was a member of the Cuba VFW Post #7147 and was an avid gun collector. Bill was a loving son, brother, nephew and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Dorothy (nee: Huskey) Knepper, one sister Linda Scego, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his brother James Knepper of Cuba, brother-in-law Doug Scego of Cuba, one aunt Marie Ewing of Essex, Missouri and a host of friends. Visitation will be Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5 till 8 pm at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Graveside service will be 1:30 pm Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri with full military honors. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Bill's family.
