William 郢邀邜Bill郢邀邝 David Lemons of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, August 21, 1950 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Samuel and Edith Loretta (nee; Hammack) Lemons and left from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 58 years 1 month and 11 days. William served in the United State Army during Vietnam where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert Rifle M-16 and the Marksman medals. William was united in marriage to Sallye DeBeaux on August 16, 1976 in Arkansas. He was a member of the American Legion of Cuba, Cuba VFW Post 7147, Hunting and Fishing Association and the NRA. William worked as an auto and diesel mechanic for most of his life and he last worked at the Cuba Brake Parts as a trainer for the assembly line. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, being a master chef, playing his guitar and singing in the band with his friends, hunting, reading and wood working, but what was always most important to him, was his family and spending time with them. William was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, father in law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. William is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Edith Loretta Lemons, one sister Rebecca Sue Lemons, one son Edwin (Ted) Worthen III and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving wife Sallye Lemons of Cuba, two sons Donald and wife Patty Worthen of St. James, Missouri and Jeff and Janelle Worthen of Rolla, Missouri, three daughters Lorri and husband Craig Hall of Rolla, Missouri, Amanda 郢邀邜DeeDee郢邀邝 and husband Jim Mitchell of Cuba, Missouri and Lisa Lemons, one brother Joe and wife Loretta Lemons of Cuba, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren Brandi, Stephen, Autumn, Audrey, Mathew, Christopher, Zackary, James, Jr. 郢邀邜Mitch郢邀邝, Krissy, Bethany, Josh, Dawn and Amber, nine great grandchildren Alaysha, Tori, Alexa, Nevaeh, M.J., Nathan, John, Seth and Kaelyn and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation Saturday, October 4th from 1 till 2 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Memorial service 2 P.M. Saturday, October 4th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Lemons family.
