William Charles Maxey of Sullivan, Missouri formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Harry H. and Delhia (Barrett) Maxey on June 2, 1914 in Dalton City, Illinois and left from this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in St. Clair, Missouri at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 9 days. Bill retired after many years as a Cattle Rancher. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Harry H. and Delhia (Barrett) Maxey; two sons Rick and Edwin Maxey; four brothers Hurshel, Melvin, Omer and George Maxey; three sisters Ruby Shelton, Georgia and Lorraine Maxey. Survivors include his wife Dorothy J. Maxey (nee Ward); five sons Lewis Maxey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dan Maxey of Denver, Colorado, Roger Maxey of Clear Water, Florida, Mark Maxey of Huntsville, Alabama, Ronnie Bill Maxey; one daughter Helen Maxey; one brother Buddy Earl Maxey of Salem, Illinois; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, September 15, 2007 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri, with Pastor Paul Lathum, officiating. Interment Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri is honored to be serving the Maxey family.
