Willa Mae Dennison

Willa Mae Dennison of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Huntington, West Virginia was born November 17, 1926 at Huntington, West Virginia to the union of Robert and Vesta (nee: Kessler) McComas and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, Missouri at the age of 84 years. Willa spent her life taking care of others. She was Mom to her three children Acie, Virginia and David and then became Mom to many foster children in Huntington, West Virginia for nearly 20 years and did this as a single parent. Willa attended the Church of Christ in Huntington for many decades without ever missing a Sunday or Wednesday evening service. Willa believed her calling was to always help others. Willa was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Willa is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Vesta McComas, two sons Acie and David Sayre, six sisters Dolly McComas, Della Gilbert, Georgie McComas, Francis Elkins, Margaret Willoughby and Ruth Adkins, one brother Walther McComas and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving daughter Virginia "Ginger" and husband Howard Sansoucie of Cuba, eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba. Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving Willa's family.
