Wendell J. Huggins of Bourbon, Missouri was born Tuesday, January 14, 1947 at Shirley, Arkansas to the union of James and Muriel (nee: Williams) Huggins and left from this life on Sunday, August 31, 2008 surrounded by his family at his home in Bourbon at the age of 61 years 7 months and 17 days. Wendell was a Metal Polisher by trade. He worked out of the Union Hall in the St. Louis area for many years and he last worked at Huggins Precision in Sullivan, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing cards, but what was most important to Wendell was his family and spending time with them. Wendell was a loving son, father, father-in-law, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Wendell is preceded in death by his parents James and Muriel Huggins, one sister Eileen Blair, one nephew Melvin Douglas Mannon and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his two sons Wendell Allen and wife Crystal Huggins of Bourbon, Missouri and Scott and wife Stacy Huggins of Catawissa, Missouri, one daughter Cheryl Rice of Valmeyer, Illinois, seven grandchildren Ashley Felix, Christopher Schlemmer, Savanah, Jaden and Chase Huggins, Jacob and Miranda Walton, one great grandchild Bailey Felix, two brothers James and wife Linda Huggins and William 郢邀邜Bill郢邀邝 and wife Deloris Huggins all of Bourbon, Missouri, one sister Linda Mannon of Bourbon, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Tuesday, September 2nd from 5 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 11 AM Wednesday, September 3rd at Britton Funeral Home. Honored to be serving as pall bears are Wendell A. Huggins, Scott Huggins, James Mannon, Ron Huggins, Bill Huggins, Jr., Calvin Robinson and honorary pall bears are Christopher Schlemmer, Jacob Walton, Jaden and Chase Huggins.
