Walter L. 'Butch' Leive

Walter Lee Leive of St. James formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of John W. and Edna L. (Connor) Leive on September 26, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri at the age of 69. Walter retired as a Sergeant/Air Traffic Controller from the U.S. Air Force after many years of Honorable service to his Country. After moving to Cuba he worked for Swinger Sanitation. In his spare time he enjoyed reading. Walter is preceded in death by his parents John W. and Edna L. (Connor) Leive. Those who are left to treasure his memory are his two cousins Debbie and husband Russ Gassmann and Charlotte Pauley both of Cuba, Missouri. Private services will be held with interment at the Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is Honored to be serving the Leive family.
