Walita Joan Lee

Walita Joan Lee of Cuba formerly of Rolla, Missouri was born February 10, 1939 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Walter Edward and Maude Ione (Nee: Stubblefield) Dorf and left from this life on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 75 years. Joan was united in marriage to Walter Barnett Lee, Jr in 1957 and to this union three children were born; Ronald Wayne, Dona Lynn and Timmy Ray. Joan was an aid for the St. James Veteran's Home before she became unable to work. Joan was an avid reader, wrote poetry, baked many cookies and even won a prize for her apple pie. She enjoyed reading nursery rhymes to Emily when she was little. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Rolla. What she always enjoyed most was visiting with family and friends. Joan was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Maude Dorf and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Ronald Wayne Lee of Cuba, Dona Lynn and husband Jeff Bouse of Cuba and Timmy Ray Lee of St. James, two grandchildren Stephanie Bouse of Cuba and Nick Bouse of Columbia, Missouri, two sisters Joyce and husband Bob Stewart of Cuba and Emily and husband Woody Mosher of Cuba, one brother Roger and wife Sandra Dorf of Dallas, Texas, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Justin Mosher officiating. Following the funeral service Joan will be cremated. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Joan's family.
