Vivian Ilene Pasternacki

Vivian Ilene Pasternacki (nee: Vance) of Steelville, Missouri was born Wednesday, February 10, 1932 at Steelville, Missouri to the union of Jewell and Iona (nee: Starks) Vance and left from this life on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 78 years 3 months and 20 days. Ilene worked in sales, was a seamstress and then became a truck driver before becoming the owner/operator of her own restaurant. She was a member of the Coffee Community Church of Steelville. In her spare time she played the organ, the accordion and pinochle. She raised a beautiful vegetable garden and always enjoyed fishing. She was known as always being kind hearted and was willing to help anyone. Ilene was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ilene is preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Iona Vance, one daughter Terry Lynn Hassler and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving husband Frank Pasternacki of the home; two daughters Shirley Brooks and partner Diane of Roscoe, Illinois, Pat and husband Jim Gilley of McHenry, Illinois; one son Randy Ransom of Steelville; brother Ray and wife Joyce Vance of Steelville, Edgar Vance of Tennessee, Melvin Vance of Poplar Grove, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, special friends Judy and Ed Behr and Donna and Tom Lott; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 2:00 till 4:00 P.M. at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Memorial service will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Jerry Beers, officiating. Special music will be 郢邀邜Amazing Grace郢邀邝, 郢邀邜Beulah Land郢邀邝 and 郢邀邜The Old Rugged Cross郢邀邝.
