Theresa Lynn 'Teri' Metts

Theresa Lynn "Teri" Metts of Bourbon, Missouri was born October 23, 1955 at St. Louis, Missouri to Walter Lorenz and Pamela Lorenz and left from this life on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Washington, Missouri at the age of 59 years. Teri was united in marriage to Ronald "Gene" Metts on July 5, 1991 at Union, Missouri and to this union two children were born Ronald and Shannon. Teri spent her life taking care of her family, friends and her home. Teri was a kind and caring person, she spoiled her children and her pets. What Teri always enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Teri was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Teri is preceded in death by her husband Ronald "Gene" Metts and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her parents Pamela Lorenz of House Springs, Missouri, father Walter and wife Georgia Lorenz of Cherryville, Missouri, one son Ronald Metts and girlfriend Sarah Brown of Bourbon, Missouri, one daughter Shannon Metts and boyfriend Kevin Swenson of Springfield, Missouri, two step-sons Edward and wife Sandi Metts of House Springs, Missouri and Tracy and wife Michaele Metts of Emporia, Kansas, three beautiful grandchildren, five amazing great-grandchildren, one sister Candi Thomas of House Springs, Missouri, four brothers Joe and wife Sandi Lorenz of High Ridge, Missouri, Keith Lorenz and girlfriend Evelyn Kuntz of Steelville, Brian Lorenz and girlfriend Becky Roam of House Springs, Missouri and Scott Lorenz of House Springs, Missouri, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 3:00 till 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. A Celebration of Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 24, 2014 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, 201 W Springfield Road, Sullivan, Missouri with Father Paul Telken as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Metts family.
