Tessie Ellen Krafft Woods of Kirkwood, Missouri was born Sunday, April 2, 1922 at Hornersville, Missouri to the union of William B. Mason and Chloe (nee; Pattillo) Mason and left from this life on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home, Kirkwood, Missouri at the age of 86 years 6 months and 26 days. Tessie was united in marriage to August Krafft on February 23, 1945 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union six children were born Carol, Sandra, Ronald, David, Glenn and Sherry. Tessie worked in the Small Arms Plant in St. Louis during the war, but she spent the majority of her life being a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed making jelly, quilts and sewing. She enjoyed going to church, singing in the church choir, always serving the Lord and she always lived her faith. Tessie was a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg and the First Baptist Church of House Springs, Missouri before she moved to Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in Kirkwood. Tessie was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend of many. Tessie is preceded in death by her parents William and Chloe Mason, one son Glenn Krafft, four siblings, husbands and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her five children Carol and husband Phil Whild of Puyallup, Washington, Sandra and husband Jerry Andel of the Lake of the Ozarks, Ronald and wife Joan Krafft of the Lake of the Ozarks, David and wife Janice Krafft of Sealy, Texas and Sherry and husband Daniel Reuther of Cedar Hill, Missouri, two brothers Roy Mason of Wright City, Missouri and Don Mason of Washington State, four sisters Gayle Boomershine of Colorado, Dora Finkbiner of Iowa, Ruby Oliver of Florida and Irene Hahn of California, ten grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, October 31st from 11 AM till 1 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 1 PM Friday, October 31st at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Honored to be serving as pall bears were Tessie's grandsons. Interment Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Krafft family.
