Sylvester E. 'Bud' Patterson

Sylvester E. "Bud" Patterson of St. James, Missouri was born to the union of George L. and Laura (Jackson) Patterson on Wednesday, January 4, 1922 at Lepanto, Arkansas and left from this life on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at St. James, Missouri at the age of 87 years 11 months and 16 days. Bud retired from Caterpillar Company after many years of service. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the St. James VFW Post #5608. In his spare time he enjoyed playing Bingo. Bud is preceded in death by his parents George L. and Laura (Jackson) Patterson; wife Dorothy D. Patterson; two brothers Marshall and Donald Patterson; one sister Juanita Taylor and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory are his two sisters Shirley Barnes of Cuba, Missouri and Hazel Hall of Belleville, Illinois; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends. Private services were held with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Patterson family.
