Steve William Hodges Jr.

Steve William Hodges, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, October 21, 1985 at Des Peres, Missouri to the union of Steve and Sandra (Nee: Allen) Hodges, Sr., and left from this life on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the age of 31 years at his home in Cuba, Missouri. Steve graduated from Cuba High School in 2004. After high school Steve worked for many different places including Boys and Girls Town, St. James, Briggs and Stratton, Rolla and MEPCO of Cuba. Steve was a lifelong avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing baseball, basketball and football with his friends. Steve would spend hours fishing and boating every chance he got. What he truly loved most was spending time with his daughters, family and friends. Steve was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law and friend of many. He will be truly missed and loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving daughters Ashlyn Hodges of Albers, Illinois and Karsyn Hodges of Cuba, parents Steve William and Sandra Kay Hodges, Sr., two sisters Angie and husband Richard Browne of St. Clair, Missouri and Sheri Hodges and fiancé Mark Valleroy of Oak Grove, Illinois, one brother Torre Hodges and fiancé Ashley Stegall of Cuba, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the Free Will Baptist Church, 707 Myrtle Street, Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Free Will Baptist Church of Cuba with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Interment and prayers will follow at the Anaconda Cemetery, St. Clair, Missouri. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for final expenses. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Hodges family.
