Shirley L. (Monda) Kelley

Shirley L. (Monda) Kelley of St. Louis, Missouri was born on January 30, 1934, in Cuba, Missouri to Walter and Nellie (Adair) Monda. She left this life at DePaul Health Center in St. Louis on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the age of 90.

Shirley was united in marriage to Charles Kelley on March 6, 1955, in Cuba, Missouri. To this union four children were born Kenneth, Ronald, Keith and Carla.

Shirley worked as a beautician and was a homemaker. She was a member of Parker Road Baptist Church, and she enjoyed quilting, reading, puzzles, crafts and tending to her flowers and plants.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Ivan “Bud” Monda, Buel Monda and Roger Monda; two sisters Mary and husband Bob Hines and Sharon and husband Vernon “Porky” White; one brother-in-law Jim Nelson; one son-in-law Robert Sontag.

Those who are left to treasure her memory are her loving husband of sixty-nine years Charles “Charlie” Kelley of St. Louis; four children Kenneth and wife Jeanne Kelley of Farmington, Ronald Kelley of St. Louis, Keith and wife Sheila Kelley of Washington, Carla Sontag and companion Rob Taylor of St. Peters; one sister Carol Nelson of St. James; two sisters-in-law Mary Monda of Sullivan and Daisy Geiger of Illinois; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one on the way, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. 

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Joe Bruno, officiating at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
