Shirley Louise Smith

Shirley Louise Smith of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Herbert and Viola Louise (Kamper) Heidmann on August 8, 1937 in Gerald, Missouri. She left from this life on Monday, November 19, 2018 at her home, surrounded by family at the age of 81 years. Shirley was united in marriage to Ronald J. Smith on May 27, 1956 in Gerald, Missouri and to this union three children were born Dennis, David and Sherri. Shirley along with her husband Ron, owned and operated Air-King Janitorial Supply Company for thirty years. She was a devoted member of Living Church of God in Rolla, Missouri. She had a strong faith in God and loved playing the piano. She enjoyed playing pinochle, sewing, cooking and sharing time with family and friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Viola Louise (Kamper) Heidmann; husband Ronald J. Smith; one sister Dorothy Kreftmeyer. Those who left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Dennis Smith of O'Fallon, Missouri, David and wife Karla Smith of DeSoto, Kansas, Sherri and husband Fred Ziegler of Cuba, Missouri; four grandchildren Adria and Matthew Smith, Kaitlyn and Robbie Ziegler; one sister Judy Willaman of Rosebud, Missouri; one brother-in-law Jim and wife Elvena Smith of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Franz, officiating. Interment will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Smith family.
