Samuel Doyle of Cuba, MO was born Thursday, July 18, 1929 at Aplein, Arkansas to the union of Dot Edward and Reble Irene Minny Doyle and left from this life on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Indian Trail, North Carolina at the age of 83 years. Sam was united in marriage to Alice Katherine Ballard and to this union two daughters were born; Reba Carolyn and Sandra Ann. Sam retired from the City Water Department of St. Louis after 40+ years of dedicated service. After retirement Sam and Alice moved to Indian Hills in 1983 where Sam worked as a guard and helped with the Indian Hills water department. Sam was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba. Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice Doyle; siblings L.C., Jack "J.R.", Theodore, Alice Core, Ola Mae and Lena Fay; granddaughter, Kim, parents Dot Edward and Reble Irene Minny Doyle and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his two daughters, Reba Picard and her husband Thomas and Sandy Kruse of North Carolina; brother, Bobby Doyle; four grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Cuba with Pastor Bob Knight officiating. Inurnment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, MO. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Doyle family.
