Sallye E. Lemons of Rolla, Missouri formerly of Cuba, was born Tuesday, September 13, 1938 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of George E. and Effie May (Nee: Hicks) DeBeaux and left from this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 71 years 4 months and 20 days. Sallye retired after 17 years of dedicated service in 2001 from the Viburnum office of the Disabled Citizens Alliance. Sallye truly believed that everyone should be treated equally. She was the family historian and tracked her family back to the 1200é¢éés. She was an avid reader, collected elephants, Elvis Presley fan, excellent cook and could bake the best Cinnamon Rolls and bread pudding. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing and camping with her children. Sallyeé¢éés favorite thing in life was spending time with family and friends. Sallye was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Sallye is preceded in death by her parents George and Effie DeBeaux, husband William é¢ééBillé¢éé Lemons, son Edwin é¢ééTedé¢éé Worthen III, three brothers George, William and James DeBeaux, four sisters Margaret Hays, Mildred Castanis, Augusta Drummonds and Henrieitta Laskowitz, infant brother Charles DeBeaux, infant sister Ann L. DeBeaux and other relatives and friends. Those whose who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her two sons Donald and wife Patty Worthen of St. James, Missouri and Jeff Worthen of Rolla, Missouri, two daughters Lorri Waldron of Rolla, Missouri and Amanda é¢ééDee Deeé¢éé and husband Jim Mitchell of Cuba, twelve grandchildren Brandi, Stephen, Autumn, Audrey, Mathew, Christopher, Zackary, James, Jr. é¢ééMitché¢éé, Krissy, Bethany, Josh and Amber, twelve great grandchildren Alaysha, Tori, Alexa, Nevaeh, M.J., Nathan, John, Seth, Kaelyn, Dale, Connor and Kinzey, three brothers John (Maxine) DeBeaux of Florida, Louis (Dixie) DeBeaux of the state of Washington and Donald DeBeaux (and the late Jean) of St. Louis, two sisters Doris Ashbrook and Patricia (é¢ééComeré¢éé) Comer of Salem, sister-in-law Jan DeBeaux of Richland, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation will be held from 12 noon till 1 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Change of Heart Church, 419 Holly Lane, Cuba. Memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Change of Heart Church with Pastor Terry Mahurin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Sallyeé¢éés family in care of Britton Funeral Home. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Sallyeé¢éés family.
