Ruthene Krulik of Cuba, Missouri was born August 30, 1933 at Cherryville, Missouri to the union of Carl and Ruth (Nee: Edgar) Martin and left from this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Cuba Manor at the age of 82 years. Ruthene was united in marriage to Richard Louis "Dick" Krulik on December 27, 1953 at the First Baptist Church of Ferguson and to this union three children were born; Keith, Patrice and Pamela. Ruthene taught school for one year in Leasburg before getting married and worked as a telephone solicitor for a year after getting married. But then she got the greatest job of all, she became a stay at home mom and spent the next many years taking care of her home and family. Ruthene has been a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church since April 19, 1987 and was a former member of the Suzannah's. Ruthene loved to travel and she spent hours cross stitching and shopping. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's baseball fan and they spent every winter in Texas for eighteen years before her health began to decline. What she loved most in life was spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruthene is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Ruth Martin, one brother Ivan and wife Mary Martin, one sister Donna Murray, two brothers-in-laws Donald Krulik and Robert McFarland and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband of nearly sixty three years Dick Krulik of the home, one son Keith and wife Lana Krulik of Indianapolis, Indiana, two daughters Patrice "Patti" and husband Mark Skjerve of Tampa Florida and Pamela and husband Andrew Sadowski of Orlando, Florida, five grandchildren; Daryn Krulik of St. Louis, Missouri, Alison Meadors of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christine Skjerve of Tampa, Florida, Emily Skjerve of Tampa, Florida and Carter Sadowski of Orlando, Florida, four great grandchildren; Chelsie Krulik, Kourtney Krulik, Madelyn Meadors and Kyle Meadors, one brother Edgar and wife Linda Martin of Hayden, Missouri, niece, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Cuba United Methodist Church, 903 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Joseph Frana officiating. Special music will be "In the Garden", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace". Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba United Methodist Church in Ruthene's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Ruthene's family.
