Ruth Ann Dickens of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, October 26, 1947 at Owensville, Missouri to the union of Garrett and Edna E. (Ragan) Dickens and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Cuba Manor at the age of 70 years. Ruth Ann loved talking on the phone, putting together puzzles, playing Old Maid and Bingo. She spent many hours watching TV, especially "The Price is Right", "Wheel of Fortune" and wrestling. When her favorite shows were on, she didn't want you to talk to her. Her favorite places to go out to eat at were Long John Silvers and the "Big Bull". She enjoyed coloring with her nieces, reading Dick and Jane books, making pot holders on her little loom and taking naps. Ruth was a member of the Cuba Free Will Baptist Church and always treasured the time she spent there. As everyone know knew, she never went anywhere without her purse. What she truly loved most was being spoiled by her family and spending time with them. Ruth Ann was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt and friend of everyone she ever met. She is preceded in death by her parents Garret and Edna Dickens, two brothers Carl and wife Shirley Dickens and Louie R. Dickens, three sisters Ruby and husband Floyd Williams, Helen and husband Cecil Brown and Lucille Campbell, brother-in-law Edwin Kitchen, sister-in-law Sharon Dickens and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving three brothers Paul and wife Geraldine Dickens, James Dickens and friend Doris Monda and Leon and wife Donna Dickens, one sister Mable E. Kitchen, brother-in-law Gary Campbell all of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 3:00 till 6:00 pm at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Special music will be "I'll Fly Away", "Victory In Jesus", "How Great Thou Art" and "Precious Memories". Interment and prayers will follow at the Fairclough Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cuba Free will Baptist Church in Ruth Ann's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Dickens family.
