Ruby Lee Williams

Ruby Lee Williams of Steelville, Missouri formerly of Leasburg, Missouri was born Wednesday, October 14, 1914 at Crawford County, Missouri to the union of Giles and Edith (nee: Clonts) Williams and left from this life on Monday, May 04, 2009 at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at the age of 94 years 6 months and 21 days. Ruby was united in marriage to Cleveland Williams at St. Louis, Missouri in 1946. She worked at the Small Arms Plant in St. Louis during the war. She worked at a manufacturing company in St. Louis for many years after the war making fans and refrigerators. Ruby enjoyed mowing grass, working in her yard, ballroom dancing, fine dinning and traveling. After retiring, Ruby moved from St. Louis to Leasburg to be with her sister Edna. She attended the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg. Ruby was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Giles and Edith Williams, husband Cleveland Williams, two brothers Ward and Edwin Williams, three sisters Edna Walker, Velma Knight, and Alice Jones and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her sister-in-law Ruby Williams of Steelville, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 10:30 AM until 1 PM at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 1 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2009 with Pastor Terry King officiating. Special music for the service is Amazing grace and Oh Danny Boy. Interment Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Williams family.
