Rose (West) Bushman

Rosemary “Rose” Bushman of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, February 10, 1929 in Crawford County, Missouri to the union of G. Alva “Al” and Grace A. (Treece) West, Sr. She left from this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 93.

Rose was united in marriage to Donald W. Bushman on May 17, 1959 in Cuba, Missouri. To this union one son, Kelly was born.

Rose worked as a secretary in the family business, Al West Motors and Tractor Sales. She worked for Don Treece Chevrolet. Rose and her husband Don, purchased Cuba Marble & Granite Monument Company in 1969 and Rose was still active in the business, until the time of her passing. She was a longtime member of the Cuba United Methodist Church.

Rose preceded in death by her parents G. Alva “Al” and Grace (Treece) West, Sr. one sister Joyce and husband Patrick Donahoe; one brother Al and wife Jean West, Jr.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her son Kelly and wife Theresa Bushman of Cuba; one granddaughter Madison and husband Ian Storie of Cuba; three great-grandchildren Jude, Liam and Lucy; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

In keeping with her wishes, Rose will be cremated.

A private family service will be held at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
