Ronald Lee DeWitt of Cuba, Missouri was born February 8, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 60 years 2 months and 3 days. Ron was a Bartender at the East Office Bar & Grill before becoming disabled. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a life-time member of the Cuba VFW Post No. 7147. Ron is preceded in death by one son Brian DeWitt and his parents Dorothy Herman-Slape (nee Wahlig) and Farris Herman. Those who survive to mourn his passing is his daughter Tanya Carabajal; Two grandchildren Dylan and Laila Carabajal; One sister Renee (Ron) Watkins; Special friend and former wife Kathleen DeWitt; Niece Katrina Bantel; He was a Great-uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend of many. Visitation: Thursday, April 13th 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 West Washington St., Cuba, MO Funeral: Friday, April 14th 11:30 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. James Finder, officiating. Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis County, MO at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors. Memorials: To the DAV Crawford Chapter #65 c/o Britton Funeral Home.
