Ronald M. Greer of Cuba, Missouri, was born on July 23, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Mancefield and Martha E. (Hunter) Greer. He peacefully passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 82.
Ron honorably served in the United States Navy and had a diverse career in the field of equipment sales and services. He began his professional journey at Clark Sales and Equipment in St. Louis before taking a significant step by purchasing St. Louis Equipment Company. After retiring, he relocated to Cuba, where he continued to share his expertise working with Masonry, Materials and Equipment. Known for his exceptional skills with forklifts, Ron enjoyed cooking, bass fishing, and was an avid reader. He had a passion for discussing politics, often bringing laughter to those around him with his comedic flair. Ron also relished the simple pleasure of enjoying a glass of scotch.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, his son Darren Greer, and his brother Thomas Greer.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his longtime partner Valerie Benton of Cuba; his three bonus children, Adam (Maghan) Kitchen of Warrenton, Daniel Kitchen of Cuba, and Brandy (Wesley) Bruning of Sullivan; his two sisters, Gail (Jim) Hollingsworth of Conroe, Texas, and Betty (Larry) Tiemann of St. Louis; special nephews Noah Shores and Elijah Shores of Cuba, and Steve Hollingsworth of Dripping Springs, Texas; as well as eleven bonus grandchildren and many cherished friends.
In accordance with his wishes, Ron will be cremated, and a celebration of life service will be arranged at a later date.
