Robert L. "Bob" Morse

Robert L. "Bob" Morse of Cuba, Missouri was born Tuesday, August 20, 1957 at Rolla, Missouri to the union of Walter and Norma (Nee: Glenn) Morse. He left from this life, suddenly, on Friday, January 24, 2020 at his home in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 62 years.

Bob was united in marriage to Cathy Reiner on February 19, 2000. Bob was the proud dad of Chris, Robert, Ashley, Amber and Danielle.

Bob spent nearly twenty years working as a lineman. He worked for Schatz and then Charter. He had to retire, when his health began to decline. In his younger years, Bob won several trophy's in horseback riding.

He spent hours playing the guitar and singing. He would stop at every yard sale, because he was looking for antiques and a good deal. Bob never met a stranger; he could talk to anyone. He could do auto body work, wore a million-dollar smile and he was always funny. What he truly loved most in life was spending time with his family and friends.

Bob was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter "Skunk" Morse and Norma Gargus; infant brother Leonard Earl Bailey; one sister Norma Jean Cunningham; and other family and friends.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of nearly twenty years Cathy Morse of the home; five children, Chris and wife Crystal Ray of Leasburg, Missouri, Robert and wife Jera Morse of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Ashley Morse of Cuba, Missouri, Amber and husband Ryan Vining of Olathe, Kansas, Danielle and wife Makala Watring of Topeka, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Makiah Morse of Cuba, Missouri, Paige Morse, Robert Morse, Jr. and Austyn Morse all of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Logan Ray, Devann Ray and Jarren Ray all of Leasburg, Missouri and Mariano Watring of Topeka, Kansas; eight brothers and sisters, Jess and wife Wanda Bailey of Lafayette, Indiana, Tim and wife Barb Bailey of Rolla, Missouri, Keith and wife Deb Bailey of Cuba, Missouri, Mark Morse of Rolla, Missouri, Roy Gargus of Corona, California, Rhonda Whitman of Rolla, Missouri, Karla and husband Willis Kean of Clarksville, Tennessee and Katie Butler of St. James, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Mizell Funeral Home with Keith Bailey officiating and Amber Vining giving the eulogy. Special song by Keith Bailey will be "Why Me Lord" and special recorded music will be "Free Bird", "Simple Man", "Stairway to Heaven" and "Mr. Bojangles".

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Morse family.
