Robert Jack "Bob" Cason of Cuba, Missouri was born at home on Saturday, July 25, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Alexander and Leah M. (Worley) Cason. He left from this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home at the age of 78 years.
Bob was united in marriage to Trude Winkler on December 29, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union four children were born Rob, Becky, Keith and Mike.
Bob attended Mizzou for one year, but quickly realized college was not for him. He joined the Meat Cutters Union, thanks to a call from his best friend Jim Graves in 1963 and was a butcher for forty years, retiring in 2003. Bob said, "If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life". He loved being a butcher and serving customers at the Kroger and Schnucks stores in St. Louis and later at Mace Supermarket in Cuba. After he retired, he and Trude moved from their home in Crestwood, where they raised their four children and made many memories. They would continue making memories at the farm.
Being a true Cason, Bob had a quick wit and he could always liven up the party. He was a kindhearted man, who never had a cross word to say about anyone and when you saw him out and about, you were guaranteed a smile. He enjoyed fishing, riding his side by side on the farm, watching the Price Is Right and a few other shows that you needed to know the time of before you stopped by or gave him a call. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Leah M. (Worley) Cason; wife Trude (Winkler) Cason; one sister-in-law Judy Miriani; one brother-in-law Jack Winkler.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his four children Rob and wife Stephanie Cason of St. Louis, Becky and husband Keith Doyle of Cuba, Keith and wife Karin Cason of St. Louis, Mike and wife Jennifer Cason of St. Louis; seven grandchildren Dustin and fiancé Melissa Doyle, Kacey Doyle, Leah, Jack, Ava, Chase and Cruze Cason; one sister Jean and husband Ted Rigden of Cuba; three brothers Larry and wife Paula Cason, Joe and wife Kelly Cason, Bill and fiancé Debbie Cason all of Cuba; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ben Miriani, Jeanne and husband Dave Nicholson, Mary Kay and husband Henry Taber, Opie and husband George McAllister, Joy and husband Paul Eaton; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
