Robert E. 'Bob' Simmerly

Robert E. "Bob" Simmerly of Sullivan, Missouri was born on April 23, 1937 in Bourbon, Missouri to the union of Jesse Walter and Della Edith (Wymer) Simmerly. He left from this life on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 79 years. Bob worked in the family saw mill business for many years. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bob was a devoted son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Walter Simmerly in 1996 and Della Edith Simmerly in 1988; one brother Curtis Dale Simmerly in 2008. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his three brothers Junior and wife Eveline Simmerly of Bourbon, Missouri, Richard Simmerly of Viburnum, Missouri, James Simmerly of Bourbon, Missouri; four nephews Earl, Mike, James, Jr. and William "Bill" Simmerly and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 11:00 a.m. at Bourbon Cemetery with Earl Simmerly, officiating. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Simmerly family.
