Robert 郢邀邜Bob郢邀邝 A. Thomas of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, November 16, 1941 to the union of Robert H. and Marie Elizabeth (nee: Schwide) Thomas and left from this life on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Steelville, Missouri at the age 68 years 7 months and 8 days. Bob retired from Echo Supply in 1998 as a machinist after 38 years of dedicated service. Bob served his community for the last 45 years by volunteering on the Cuba Fire Department were he served at different times as the Safety Officer, 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant and Captain. Bob was the owner/operator of the car wash at Spencer and Hwy 19 from 1983 till 1998. In his spare time he collected everything and anything and enjoyed watching all of the John Wayne郢邀邙s movies. Bob was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin, firefighter and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Robert H. and Marie E. Thomas, mother-in-law and father-in-law Hazel and Ralph Uthlaut, brother-in-law Dave Center and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his wife Dina Thomas, two daughters Tina and husband Terry Sanders of Cuba, Lisa and husband Elmer 郢邀邜Tony郢邀邝 Wooley of Badias, Texas, three grandchildren Julia and husband Shane Pennington, Leslie Gay and Meghan Wooley, three great grandchildren Symon and Tayvis Pennington and Leinaya Gay, sister Virginia Center, brother-in-laws Ralph and wife Carol Uthlaut of Big Spring, Missouri and Ronald and wife Patsy Uthlaut of Big Spring, Missouri, sister-in-law Judy and husband Arthur Gerloff of Herman, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 9 till 11 AM at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Paul Lathum officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cuba Fire Department, Cuba United Methodist Church or the Parkinson Association in Bob郢邀邙s memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Thomas family.
