Richard W. "Dick" Pauley of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, September 29, 1933 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Joseph and Jane (nee: Bayha) Pauley and left from this life on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 77 years 9 months and 22 days. Dick proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Gee on August 10, 1955 and to this union two sons were born Richard and Michael. Dick was owner/operator of P & E Associates Trucking Company in St. Louis for several years. After retiring they moved to Cuba in 1998 and Dick became the courier for the Bank of Sullivan for a few years. He enjoyed yard work and was an avid Cardinals Baseball Fan and enjoyed watching the Bill O'Reilly show. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus of Cuba, VFW Post of Cuba and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. What he truly enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends. Dick was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Jane Pauley, two brothers Jerry and Doug Pauley and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Charlotte Pauley of the home, two sons Richard "Rick" and wife Lori Pauley of Florissant and Michael and wife Cathy Pauley of Florissant, "like a daughter" Kelly Maier of Florissant, three grandchildren Caitlin, Samantha and Max, ten brothers and sisters Ren, Tom, Kevin, Bill, Sue, Ned, James, Jane, Mark and Tina, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 5 till 8 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Celebration of mass will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 415 W School, Cuba with Father James Finder as celebrant. Interment and prayers will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery of Cuba with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dick's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Pauley family.
