Richard Louis "Dick" Krulik

October 23, 1932 — April 3, 2021

Richard Louis "Dick" Krulik of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 23, 1932 in Cuba, Missouri to the union of Louis E. and Thelma R. (Spencer) Krulik. He left from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Health Center in Lakeland, Florida at the age of 88 years.

Dick was united in marriage to Ruthene Martin December 27, 1953 in Ferguson, Missouri. To this union three children were born Pamela, Patrice and Keith.

Dick honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 27 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a pilot, having flown 18 different aircraft in his lifetime. He obtained his Masters Degree from the University of Southern California. After his military career Dick and Ruthene moved back home to Cuba, where he owned several different businesses and was the Mayor of the City of Cuba from 1982-1984. He was a longtime member of the Cuba United Methodist Church.

Dick enjoyed spending time with his family, flying, the town of Cuba, St. Louis Cardinals, traveling and spending the winters in Texas.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents Louis E. and Thelma R. (Spencer) Krulik; wife Ruthene (Martin) Krulik; two brothers Donald J. Krulik and Robert McFarland; one brother-in-law Ivan and wife Mary Martin; one sister-in-law Donna Murray.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving children Pamela and husband Andrew Sadowski of Orlando, Florida, Patrice "Patti" and husband Mark Skjerve of Tampa, Florida, Keith and wife Lana of Indianapolis, Indiana; five grandchildren Daryn Krulik of St. Louis, Alison Meadors of Indianapolis, Christine Skjerve and Emily Skjerve both of Tampa, Carter Sadowski of Orlando; four great-grandchildren Chelsie and Andrew Schlereth, Kourtney Krulik, Madelyn and Kyle Meadors; one brother-in-law Edgar and wife Linda Martin of Hayden, Missouri; one sister-in-law Joan Hadley of St. James, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 5-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 11:00 a.m. at the Cuba United Methodist Church with Pastor Kurt Schuermann, officiating.

Interment with military honors will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Cuba United Methodist Church 903 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri 65453.
