Richard George Brakefield

Richard George Brakefield of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Monroe W. Brakefield and Opal M. (Koebbe) Enke on Thursday, November 9, 1950 at Gasconade County, Missouri and left from this life on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 58 years 5 months and 16 days. Richard was a Truck Driver. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of VFW Post #7147 and A.L. Post #347. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Monroe W. Brakefield and Opal M. (Koebbe) Enke and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish his memory are two brothers James and wife Mary Ann Enke of Cuba, Missouri, Johnny Enke of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters Sharon Phelan and Linda Nanan both of Mobile, Alabama; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Brakefield family.
