Richard Dale Simmons, Jr. of Urbana, Illinois, was born on June 5, 1981 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and left from this life suddenly on April 27, 2020 in Urbana, Illinois at the age of 38 years.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving parents Richard Dale and Penny Simmons, Sr. and Kim Young Dusky; friend Allie Peithmann; two children Riley Dale and Nathan Joshua Simmons; two sisters Shannon Lindsey Turner and Makayla L. Simmons Henson; one nephew Blake W. Henson; one niece Bailee S. Henson; cousins Leina Simmons Frazier, Karen Brandt Steveson, Robin Brandt Grimes, Nancy Babbs Miller, Connie Pudwiter, Christopher Pudwiter, Matthew Jacobs, Amelia Simmons Sitze, John Simmons, Tina Simmons Vondriska, Michael Moise, Danny Moise, Michelle Moise Warren, Cassandra "Cassey" Simmons, Krissy Simmons, Charles R. "Chuck" Simmons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020, 12:00 p.m. at the home of Richard D. Simmons, Sr.
