Rev. Warren George Hansen

Rev. Warren G. Hansen of Cuba, Missouri was born on April 30, 1923 in Denver, Colorado to the union of the late Arthur and Elsie Hansen (nee: Egerer)and left from this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 27 days. Rev. Warren was united in marriage to Jeanette V. Johnson on August 6, 1955 and to this union two children were born Douglas and Janice. Rev. Warren proudly served his country as a decorated veteran in the U.S. Army during WWII, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Pathology from St. Louis University in 1958. He taught, was a consultant and lecturer for a number of years at St. Louis and Purdue Universities. He was ordained an Episcopalian Priest in June 1971 after his studies in Theology. Between 1972 - 2006 he had churches in Kansas and Missouri. Most recently he and Jeanie participated and shared in the ministry of Sts. Francis & Clare CEC of Columbia, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Hansen and Elsie Hansen (nee: Egerer). Those who are left to celebrate & cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years Jeanette V. "Jean" Hansen of Cuba, Missouri; son Douglas Hansen of Cuba, Missouri; daughter Janice (Ronald) Owens of Lawson, Missouri and one grandchild Megan Collins of Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation: Friday, December 29, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at The Cathedral Church of the King 728 N. Stevenson, Olathe, Kansas. Funeral: Friday, December 29, 2006 11:00 a.m. at The Cathedral Church of the King with Bishop Mike Davidson as the celebrant and Rev. John Prenger, co-celebrant. Interment: Saturday, December 30, 2006 1:00 p.m. at Nashotah House Seminary Cemetery, Nashotah, Wisconsin, with Rev. Harry Walsh.
