Rev. Thomas L. "Tom" Campbell of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Saturday, February 4, 1939 in Huzzah, Missouri to the union of William R. and Myrtle M. (Harper) Campbell. He left from this life on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his home at the age of 82 years.
Tom was united in marriage to Mildred Breakfield on January 26, 1958 in Shirley, Missouri and to this union eleven children were born Julie, Barb, Marie, James, Tim, Charlotte, Andrew, Becky, Dale, Peter, and Joshua.
Tom was an "ole time preacher man", who for over 51 years loved preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His passion for scriptures and sharing the message of Christ brought him great joy! He was often found in conversation sharing his testimony and his vision for the ministry. He had a fervent desire to keep the church a place for families to experience the âOld paths" of scripture and learn to walk in them! It was this passion that would lead him to found âThe Country Church', in 2006. This little church was established in Leasburg, Missouri and will continue as a Christian Heritage for his children and the neighboring community for generations to come!
Tom honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for Chrysler, McDonnel Douglas, Pea Ridge Mine, and he would later retire from the University of Missouri - Rolla Power Plant, after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and tractors, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his large, beautiful family. Together, he and Mildred were blessed with love and laughter in their home and around their table! The memories created will be unforgettable to their children and grandchildren who will always remember Tom's love for them and the twinkle of laughter in his eyes.
