Rebecca Sue 'Becky' Jones

Rebecca Sue "Becky" Jones of St. James, Missouri was born December 12, 1964 at Sullivan, Missouri to the union of Harvey Eugene "Shorty" and Ruth Ann (Nee: Northcut) Conner and left from this life, with family by her side, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her home in St. James, Missouri at the young age of 50 years. Becky spent the last many years taking care of her home and family. She spent hours working in her flower beds outside and plants in the house. She was known for her green thumb. Becky loved to go camping, fishing and just being outdoors. Every summer a garden was planted, weeded, tilled and watered. Then it was time to start picking veggies and canning. Becky was excellent at baking and her homemade cookies will truly be missed. Becky's favorite part of life was being mom and spoiling her grandchildren. Becky was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and a true friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Becky is preceded in death by her parents Harvey "Shorty" and Ruth Ann Conner and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving husband Jeff Jones of St. James, seven children Trisha and husband Sam Deatherage of Westcliffe, Colorado, Kari and husband Blake Weese of Marceline, Missouri, Suzanne Hedrick of Salem, Missouri, Earl Briggs of St. James, Joshua and wife Cassie Jones, Jacob and wife Sierra Jones and Makayla Jones all of Dixon, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren, two brothers Frank and wife Carolyn Conner and David and wife Terry Sprous all of Desoto, Missouri, one sister Trina Conner Davis and friend Pete of Richwoods, Missouri, sister-in-law Marilyn and husband Ron Williams of St. James, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 from 5:00 till 8:00PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Don Carson officiating. Special music will be "How Great Thou Art", "Slippers with Wings" and "Angels Flying To Close To The Ground". Honored to be serving as pall bearers will be Earl Briggs II, Jake Jones, Josh Jones, Sam Deatherage, Sam Deatherage, Jr. and Don Hughes. Interment and prayers will follow at the Wishon Cemetery, St. James, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Phelps County Hospice, 1026 Kingshighway, Rolla, Missouri 65401 in Becky's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be caring for the Jones family.
