Raymond J. Lindemann

November 15, 1928 — January 5, 2021

Raymond J. Lindemann of Cuba, Missouri was born on November 15, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of George and Caroline (Theissman) Lindemann. He left from this life on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home at the age of 92 years.

Ray honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He received the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal. He was a longtime Business Entrepreneur, having owned and operated several successful businesses in the St. Louis area.

Most people would say that Ray was a little hardheaded, but everyone knew that he was a smart businessman and he loved his family. He enjoyed his retirement years at his home in Indian Hills Lake, traveling in his motor home and being an avid tennis player. He could be found almost every morning and afternoon at Shelly's Rt. 66 Diner.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents George and Caroline (Theissman) Lindeman; one son Jim Lindemann; five sisters Arletta Knoll, Margaret Hurt, Jeanne Dowd, Doris Lindemann and Carol Przygoda; two brothers Paul Lindemann and John "Jack" Lindemann.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his seven children Mark Lindemann of St. Louis, Steve Lindemann of Austin, Texas, Karen and husband Bob Shymanski of St. Louis, Jeff and wife Kim Lindemann of St. Louis, Craig Lindemann of Cuba, Ed Lindemann of Cuba, Kathryn "Kit" Lindemann and companion John McMillian of St. Louis; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

A private family visitation and funeral service will be held with Father Dan Lueckennotte, officiating.

Interment with military will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
