Raymond George Brenner of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Herman and Anna (Albach) Brenner on July 21, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 70 years and 10 days. Ray was united in marriage to Judy A. (Wilkerson) Hopwood on September 17, 2002 in Steelville, Missouri. Ray retired from St. Louis County Parks & Recreation Dept. after many years of service. He proudly served our Country in the U.S. Marine Corps. and enjoyed fishing, wood working, landscaping and long drives in the country. Ray is preceded in death by his parents Herman Brenner and Anna (Albach) Brenner, one son Michael Brenner, one brother Herman J. "Bud" Brenner and one sister Arline Hampton. Those who are left to celebrate his life and to continue his legacy are his wife Judy A. Brenner of Cuba, Missouri; two sons Jeff and wife Tracey Brenner of Grover, Missouri, Tom and wife Andrea Brenner of St. Charles; two adopted children Corey Brenner of Willow Springs, Missouri and Erin Brenner of Alabama; three step-sons Tim and wife Tami Hopwood of Texas, Kenny and wife Lisa Hopwood of Cuba, Missouri and Dennis and wife Barb Hopwood of Cuba, Missouri; Four grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Thursday, August 2, 2007 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 West Washington St. Cuba, Missouri Graveisde service: Friday, August 3, 2007 10:00 a.m. at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full military honors. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri is honored to be serving the Brenner family.
