Ralph E. Adams of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, May 20, 1927 at Desloge, Missouri to the union of Roy and Grace (nee: Pierce) Adams and left from this life on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Steelville, Missouri at the age of 81 years 9 months and 2 days. Ralph was united in marriage to Veda Lorene Leslie on February 9, 1952 at St. Louis, Missouri and they were the proud parents of Ralph Jr., Tony, Gary, Martin, Michael, Brian, Jackie, Carolyn, Barbara, Debbie, Sandra and Terri. Ralph started working at a very young age. He worked for the railroad, was a TV repairman, worked as a manger of the Laundry Department for St. Ann Hospital, and drove a taxi cab all before retiring from Crown Foods in the warehouse division. Ralph proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Ralph enjoyed reading and watching a good old Western in his spare time, but what he loved most was his family and spending time with them. Ralph was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ralph is preceded in death by his father Roy Adams, mother and step father Grace and Jim Hoffman, grandson Daniel Adams, one brother Carl é¢ééButché¢éé Adams, two sisters Marie and Norma Jean and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his six sons; Ralph Adams, Jr. of Cuba, Tony and wife Pat Dixon of St. Louis, Gary Adams of Glen Allan, Martin, Michael and Brian Adams all of Cuba, six daughters; Jackie and husband Melvin Makara of Cuba, Carolyn and husband Donald Bowolak of St. Louis, Barbara and husband Michael Zobrist of Cuba, Debbie and husband Michael Evans of St. Louis, Sandra and husband James Mendoza and Terri and husband Jim Tyler of Cuba, seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one sister Bert of the state of California and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, February 26th from 12 Noon till 3 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 3 PM Thursday, February 26th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. é¢ééWhen I Get To Where Ié¢éém Goingé¢éé and é¢ééBelieveé¢éé is the special music for the service. Interment to follow at Kinder Cemetery. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Adams family.
