Patrick Henry Daily was born Wednesday, June 25, 1913 at Union, Missouri to the union of William and Clara (nee: Gay) Daily and left from this life on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 95 years and 26 days, Patrick was united in marriage to Mary Margaret Koester in 1936 at Union, Missouri and to this union four children were born Emily, Carolyn, Jerry and Stephen. Patrick retired in the mid 1970郢邀邙s from Great Lake Carbon Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri after many years of dedicated service. Patrick was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba for many years. Patrick was a true outdoors man; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and anything to do with nature. He knew all the types of birds & kinds trees. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, enjoyed a game of chess or checkers and was always reading to keep up with the current events of today郢邀邙s world. But what he treasured most, was spending time with his family and friends. Patrick was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Patrick is preceded in death by his parents William and Clara Daily, his wife Mary M. Daily, on son Jerry Daily, one brother Frank Daily, son-in-law George Hempe, one brother-in-law Charlie Clark and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to celebrate a wonderful life are his two daughters Emily J. Hempe of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Carolyn and husband Earl Horsefield of Cuba, Missouri, one son Stephen and wife Nancy Daily of Liberty. Missouri, one sister Elizabeth Clark of Festus, Missouri, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Tuesday, July 22nd from 6 till 9 PM with a 7 PM prayer service at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, July 23rd at Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba with Father James Finder as celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Daily family.
