Patricia J. “Pat” Watson of Cuba, Missouri was born on August 9, 1929, in Cuba, Missouri to the union of Benjamin Franklin and Mary (Johnson) Askins. She left this life on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at her son’s home in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 93.
Patricia was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Edgar E. Watson on January 4, 1950, in Steelville, Missouri. To this union four children were born Lynda, John, Nancy and Lee.
Pat was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and home. She was a member of Trinity Chapel, Cuba Chapter No. 298 O.E.S. and Grand International Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Pat helped Crawford Electric Round Up Program for years and was a board member of Kinder Cemetery Association. She loved spending time with her family and playing cards.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Franklin and Mary (Johnson) Askins; husband Edgar E. Watson; one daughter Nancy Sue Watson; two sisters Donna Avery and Barbara Copeland; two sisters-in-law Dorothy Schmidt and Sue McCune.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Lynda and husband Jon Henderson of Ballwin, John and wife Virginia Watson of Steelville, Lee and wife Theresa Watson of Cuba; four grandchildren Lauren and husband Drew Biondo of Frontenac, Kelsey Henderson of St. Louis, Kathryn “Katy” Watson of Springfield, Amber and husband Errin Henry of Baldwin ; four great-grandchildren Collin and Hunter Henry, Grey and Lyla Biondo; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Donna Schiro, officiating.
In keeping with wishes, Patricia will be cremated following the funeral service and inurnment at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
