Patricia Ann 'Pat' Vernitte

Patricia "Pat" Ann Vernitte of O'Fallon, Missouri was born Thursday, October 24, 1946 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Fred P. and Geraldine (nee: Seals) Becker and left from this life on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at St. Joseph West Hospital, Lake St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 64 years. Pat was the proud mom of two beautiful daughters Gina and Debbie. Family was always most important to Pat as she would make many trips to Cuba to visit her sister Jeanette, listen and watch her brother-in-law Don preach and of course spoil her nephews and their families. Pat was known for her ability to fix or wrap any present with duct tape including wrapping Easter eggs one year, but to Pat duct tape only came in the color - gray. For many years Pat enjoyed playing Bingo on either Wednesday or Thursday and even some Friday evenings. She always bought Coke Classic in a can by the case and rarely ever missed an episode of Big Brother or the Bake Off shows on TV. Pat was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, cousin and friend to many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Geraldine Becker, one sister Jeanette Martin and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving daughters Gina Vernitte and Debbie and husband Greg Gibson all of O'Fallon, Missouri, brother Fred and wife Linda Becker of Leslie, Missouri, brother-in-law Don Martin of Cuba, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, great-great niece and other relatives and friends. In keeping with the wishes of Pat private services will be held at a later date. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Pat's family.
