Ondo Freeman Watson of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of George W. and Flossie (Terrill) Watson on May 25, 1926 in Reynolds, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Cuba Manor at the age of 87. Ondo was a logger all of his life and he honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He enjoyed gardening, wood carving, garage sales, auctions, fishing, digging and selling roots. Ondo is preceded in death by his parents George Washington and Flossie (Terrill) Watson; two wives Geneva (Dotson) Watson and Mildred (Bacon) Watson; one sons Kyle Luther Watson; daughter-in-law Josie (Munier) Watson; one grandson Stephen Trevor Owen; three step-sons David, Rick and Wayne Dotson; two brothers Thermen and Elmo Elva Watson; two sisters Imo Flanzy Dooley and Iretta Yelton. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his two daughters Vicki and husband Steve Nichols of Cameron, Missouri, Monica and husband Billy Grubb of Alvin, Texas; five sons Michael and wife Dawn Watson of Minot, North Dakota, Steve Watson of Branson, Missouri, Kevin and wife Tess Watson of Palmdale, California, Lyle and wife Margaret Watson of Houston, Texas, Trampus Watson of Salem, Missouri; two step-sons Bill and wife June Dotson, Jim and wife Nancy Dotson all of Cuba, Missouri; four brothers Jolly Watson of Bunker, Missouri, Vernell Watson of Bunker, Missouri, Ronnie Watson, Buren Watson of Peoria, Illinois; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-child, 16 step-grandchildren, 20 step-great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-great=grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. As per his wishes, Ondo will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Watson family.
