Odie W. Mash of Cahokia, Illinois formerly of Cuba was born to the union of the late Ervin and Eunice (Wright) Mash on November 25, 1928 at Jakes Prairie, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Cahokia, Illinois at the age of 80. Odie was a retiree of General Motors Corp. and Honorably served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and painting. Odie is preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Eunice (Wright) Mash; one sister Verlee Gross; one brother Ervin Edsel Mash. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his two sons Mark Mash of Paris, Tennessee, Bill and wife Donna Mash of Independence, Missouri; one step-son Arthur Junkerman of Cuba, Missouri; three grandchildren Jackie, Megan and Kyle; three step-grandchildren Michelle, Tiffany and Nica; one brother Ken and wife Flossie Mash of Farmington, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Gary Mace, officiating. Interment will follow at Licklider Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Mash family.
