Norman R. Weigel of Cuba, Missouri was born Tuesday, August 11, 1942 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of John Rosebury and Virginia (nee: Novak) Weigel left from this life on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 67 years 11 months and 16 days. Norman was united in marriage to Demetra Pigg at St. Louis, Missouri on July 2, 1981. Norman retired in 1987 from General Motors after 21 years of dedicated service. Norman grew up in Cuba and then moved to St. Louis were he lived for many years before moving back to Cuba 23 years ago. You could always find Norman at Voss's every morning and sometimes several times a day enjoying a hot cup of black coffee. In his younger years he enjoyed working on cars, fishing and hunting. But what he always enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends. Norman was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, great uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Norman is preceded in death by his parents John and Virginia Weigel, infant son John Wesley Weigel, brothers Johnny and Bobby Weigel and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue his legacy is his wife Demetra Weigel of the home, children Gloria and husband Larry Lewis of Licking, Missouri, Jo Ann and husband Allen Robinson of St. James, Missouri, Cynthia Brandt of Fenton, Missouri, Norman Jr. and wife Jana Weigel of New Haven, Missouri, Demetra and husband Ronny Bugg of Mulberry, Arkansas, brother Bernard and wife Juanita Weigel of Tennessee, sister Mary and husband Ralph Weber of Cuba, 18 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and a host of friends. Visitation will be held 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. Thursday July 29, 2010 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Special music will be "Go Rest High on that Mountain" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". Honored to be serving as pall bearers are Norman Weigel III, Michael Weigel, Monty Turner, Jr., Brian Robinson, Allen Robinson and Ronny Bugg.
