Norman Calvin Keeney

October 5, 1931 — July 20, 2012

Norman Calvin Keeney of Cuba, Missouri was born October 5, 1931 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Calvin and Maude (nee: Bryant) Keeney and left from this life on Friday, July 20, 2012 at his home at the age of 80 years. Norman was united in marriage to Anna Terranova on June 16, 1950 at Pocahontas, Arkansas and to this union one son Scott was born. Norman proudly served in the United States Army from 13 October 1952 till 13 October 1954. Norman retired from White Rodgers Electric Company which is currently Emerson Electric Company in St. Louis, Missouri after 40 plus years of dedicated service. After retiring they moved to Cuba where Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being in the country. Norman enjoyed spending time with family and friends and being with his grandson. Norman was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Maude Keeney, son Scott Keeney, one brother-in-law Vincent Wiseman and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of sixty two years Anna Keeney of the home, daughter-in-law Christine Keeney of St. Louis, grandson Clayton Keeney and friend Melissa Beck of St. Louis, one brother Jim and wife Pat Keeney of Sullivan, sister-in-law Frances Wiseman of Florissant, one brother-in-law Joseph and wife Shirley Terranova of Florissant, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2012 from 10:00 AM till 12:00 Noon at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Msgr. Vince Bommarito officiating. Special music will be "Ava Maria", "Be Not Afraid" and "On Eagles Wings". Interment and prayers will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society in Norman's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving Norman's family.
