Norma L. Baker of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Earl and Betty (Surrite) Counts in Iron Mountain, Missouri on January 19, 1939 and left from this life on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 69 years 6 months and 5 days. Norma worked through the years for Cuba Shoe Company, Yogi Bear Park and was a grocery clerk for Summers Market and Tru-Buy Grocery Store all in Cuba. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting music boxes, cooking, embroidery work. She was an avid reader and had a great sense of humor. Norma is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Betty (Surrite) Counts; one infant brother and one infant sister. Those who left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her son Randy and wife Rita Baker of Cuba, Missouri; one grandson Bruce Andrew Baker of Cuba, Missouri; three brothers Dale and wife Sandy, Charles and wife Miriam Counts all of Ironton, Missouri, Stanley and wife Diane Counts of Bismarck, Missouri; four sisters Maxine and husband Bob Novak of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Jeanette and husband Paul Juergens of Sullivan, Missouri, Sharon and husband Bruce Maessen of St. Charles, Missouri and Glena and husband Walter Goodman of Park Hills, Missouri; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation: Sunday, July 27, 2008 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Monday, July 28, 2008 10:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Elder Miriam Counts and Father James Finder, officiating. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
