Noel L. Chandler of St. James, Missouri was born June 16, 1941 at Crawford County, Missouri to the union of Levi and Dorothy (Nee: Neff) Chandler and left from this life on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, Missouri at the age of 74 years. Noel was united in marriage to Patricia Palmer on September 30, 1961 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born Regina and Marcus. Noel retired from Boeing as a final assembler after thirty plus years of dedicated service. Noel was a member of the Black Powder Gun Club and the Bee Keepers. He collected Indian artifacts for many years, made black powder horns and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Noel was known as the garlic man. There would be fresh garlic in his lunch box each day and when he retired his cake had garlic drawn on top of it. Noel would put garlic in vinegar, eat the garlic, drink an ounce of vinegar and this kept the mosquitos away. Noel was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, great uncle and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Noel is preceded in death by his parents Levi and Dorothy Chandler, four siblings Zelda Godby, Della Bourbon, Marvin Chandler and Lois Barbara and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of fifty four years Patricia Chandler of the home, one daughter Regina and husband Peter Kucharczyk of St. Louis, one son Marcus and wife Danette Chandler of St. Charles, two grandchildren Trever and Skyler Chandler, sister Geraldine Vallie of Farmington, one brother Joseph Chandler of Texas, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. In keeping with Noel's wishes he was cremated and will be inurned at Shoal Creek Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Noel's family.
