Neva Leona Dunham of St. James, Missouri was born on Saturday, November 15, 1930 at Huzzah, Missouri to the union on James E. Britton and Ettie J. (nee: Holtz) Britton and left from this life on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at St. James, Missouri at the age of 76 years six months and twenty nine days. Leona was united in marriage on March 21, 1970 at the Lutheran Church of Cuba to Robert Dunham and to this union one son was born Bobby Dunham. Leona worked as a quilter for the past twenty five plus years and in her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, crocheting, embroidering, helping on the farm, but what was most important to her was spending time with her family and friends, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas when everyone would get together and she got to do lots of cooking. Leona, or to some she was know as Leomie, was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, sister in law, aunt, cousin and friend of many and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Leona is preceded in death by her parents James E. and Ettie J. Britton, two brothers; Earnest and wife Georgia Britton and Jack and wife Anna Mae Britton, three sisters; Daisy and husband Austin Volner, Mollie and husband Wade Watson and Lydia Britton and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish and treasure Leona's memory are her loving husband Bob Dunham, one son Bobby Dunham both of St. James, Missouri, two brothers John and wife Cecilia Britton and James and Edwina Britton all of Cuba and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, June 15th from 5 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, June 16th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Terry Mahurin officiating. Special music for the service; Go Rest High on That Mountain and When I Get To Where I'm Going. Serving as pall bears are; James Britton, Paul Hanks, Jerry Hanks, Frank Gibson, Robert Herberger,Curtis Dunakey and honorary pall bears are Roger Volner and Jesse Gibson. Interment at Skaggs Cemetery, Huzzah, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Dunham family.
