Myrtle Alene Elliott

October 27, 1922 — December 20, 2007

Myrtle Alene Elliott of Leasburg, Missouri was born to the union of Lee and Elsie (Rodgers) Imboden on October 27, 1922 in Vienna, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, December 20, 2007 in Owensville, Missouri at the age of 85 years 1 month and 24 days. Myrtle retired after many years as a waitress at the Mid-Way restaurant and the Butch Barn restaurant. She attended the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg. Her passions in life included gardening, canning, quilting, cooking and baking. If you went to visit her you couldn't leave until you either had something to eat or a cup of coffee to drink. Her sense of humor will be missed along with her ability to be there for others. Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents Lee and Elsie (Rodgers) Imboden; husband John Charles Elliott; one son Ray Eugene Elliott; two brothers Ray and Guy Imboden; two sisters Sylvia and Tilda Laney; one nephew Arvil Owens; her special friend Alfred Phillips. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her brother Charles and wife Pearl Imboden of Bourbon, Missouri; sister Wanda Fleischmann of Belle, Missouri; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation: Saturday, December 22, 2007 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Saturday, December 22, 2007 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Terry King, officiating. Interment: Liberty Church Cemetery, Belle, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Elliott family.
