Mitchell V. Lewis of Cuba was born to the union of the late William and Myrtle (Lavere) Lewis on October 12, 1932 at St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his home at the age of 76 years. Mitchell was united in marriage to Evelyn (Starks) Lewis on February 24, 1952 at Pocahontas, Arkansas and then on September 2, 1992 he was united in marriage to Linda (Yarborough) Lewis at Cuba, Missouri. Mitchell was a Truck Driver for over 50 years having worked for Famous é¢éé" Barr, Consolidated Freight, Clyde Thompson and N.B. West. In his spare time he enjoyed going to the creek and fishing for Suckers and enjoying his favorite beverage. He also enjoyed improving things in the yard or around the house. Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents William and Myrtle (Lavere) Lewis; two wives Evelyn (Starks) Lewis and Linda (Yarborough) Lewis; one brother Richard Lewis; one sister Lorraine Roster and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Coleman, officiating. Interment to follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Lewis family.
